AC Milan 2-1 Palermo
Sunday, February 24, 2008
A last-gasp Filipo Inzaghi strike ensured AC Milan kept pace with those vying for a Champions League spot, although their performance at the San Siro was once again less than convincing. Mark Bresciano fired visiting Palermo into a ninth-minute lead before Massimo Ambrosini pulled the Rossoneri level midway through the first half. Inzaghi’s late strike came just minutes after the Sicilian side had a shout for penalty waved away by the referee. Despite the nature of the win, the three points will be overshadowed by the withdrawal at half-time of Kaka with a knee complaint.
